Disclaimer: I’m not
running for political office soooo I’m not trying to sway you in any way. If I was running for some political office,
I would be promising you everything and try to make my opponents look like
clowns. Read my lips, I am telling you the truth! But don’t jump to a quick
conclusion. You make the decision. You are smart (i.e. heady folks) unless you
are promised something free, then a lot of folks are suckers (i.e. loose their heads). You ever notice
that!
Saints or sinners? I’m not saying some of you folks
are saints and some of you are sinners.
I don’t know. TerrificJane
(i.e.who is young and has fire in her belly) might know but I surely don’t. And as a friend says—The older I get it
seems like the less I know. I’m just a little
farm boy from a mile and fourth south of Roseland, MN soooo don’t expect much
from me.
Moderation my friends, moderation! The Des
Moines Register called Donald Trump a “feckless blowhard” who is “unfit to hold office.” Now that will sell papers. It’s all about the money folks. I think most folks who read the paper (i.e. young folks don’t seem to read the paper much but it seems are usually more liberal than older folks) must be liberal as most newspapers appear to be liberal. Most of America must what their children to be educated liberally as it appears many university faculty members are liberal (i.e. maybe most educators are more liberal in general, I don't know--what do you think). OneSmartMan said--My opinion is that the more educated folks get, the more liberal they become. Could be; I don't know. Sooooo maybe "being liberal is popular" folks (i.e. the in thing). That’s the long and short of it. It’s like the Greece/German scenario! I read in the paper that Greece is very liberal in their spending and Germany is very conservative in their spending. I really don't know which one is right. Which one do you think is right. Such is life.
The 6th fairway! A smart golf buddy told me going down the 6th fairway that the real intelligent folks are, usually more liberal. Sorta kinda like the Ancient Greeks (i.e. Greek Mythology). They worshiped knowledge. They were either agnostics or atheists. ItchieBitchie says--For many highly intelligent folks, believing in God is real difficult. Saturday question--Are you a believer, an agnostic, an atheist, a theist, a diest or just a nothing? Such is life.

Talk about not knowing much. Last Saturday I was ridding my golf cart down town to get some
milk (i.e. now that is small town America).
There was a wedding going on at the church we attend. There was a guy standing on sidewalk in front. I asked him who is getting married (i.e. now
that is small town America). He said—my
cousin—soooo who is your cousin—ah ah it’s Amber—what’s her last name—ah ah I
don’t know. The long and the short of
it is, he’s probably not very close to his cousin! But he went anyway (i.e. now that is small town America). Such is
life.
GeorgeTheCrook says--That said, he might also be nuts. Ok,
not nuts, but perhaps misguided. He
can’t help that he was programmed by his family. Like my mentor use to say—erv, we are all programmed by our past
both environmentally and genetically (i.e. that’s the long and the short of
it). ItchieBitchie says—That happens if we like it or not. Bingo.
Pay attention folks! I read this while eating my oatmeal
with half a banana on it--I do know from personal experience the
magnificent orchestration of God. Often the truth of how God works is more
miraculous than fictional stories. I say truth because humans rarely know
everything that happens, we only see the viewable results that we
understand. We don't even know what happened behind the scenes and the
total plan. I say--His understanding I cannot fathom. Amazing! CrazyMarvin (i.e. who has a personality and
history of achievement most folks would run away from) says—“Wow,
that’s amazing!” Wow, that’s amazing
has become a cliché—but only because it’s most often true. We do live in an
amazing world. A friend said at our Buddies Group—If you don’t have faith, the
Bible has no meaning. Joesixpack says--Not doing bad things is commendable,
but doing good things is even better.
That’s the short and long of it folks sooo suck it up folks and lets get going; we are burning daylight.
Such is life.
I want my cake and eat it toooo! The
short and long of it is—to get elected you got to promise even more benefits
than we can pay for (i.e. that ain’t nutten new). LuckieEddie says—Anyone who objects to all the freebies is said
to be uncaring. But as the
conservatives have been saying for decades, what does “caring” actually
mean. If you need a model, call
Greece. Ouchy ouchy! SusieQ (i.e. a liberal) says—What’s the
problem, can’t we just print more money; we are the government aren’t we! Huh,interesting.
The long and the short of it is folks will give
up a lot of tomorrow for a little more of today (e.g. baseball teams trade and
give up a lot of tomorrow for a player of today to have a better chance to win
the league this year). A bird in the
hand is worth two in the bush. We have a tendency to live for today and worry
about tomorrow another day. We sorta
kinda want instant good feelings a.k.a. instant gratification and don’t worry
about tomorrow. MissPerfect says—Pass
me the cake please; I want another piece.
Experiences! Experiences! Stuff is ok I guess but experiences are what life is all about. That is my opinion folks. Saturday question--How does stuff affect you; how does experiences affect you? OurFriendJim (i.e. anybody can be a Jim) gave our CO metro grand kids a ride in his tractor (i.e. nothing runs like a Deere). They had a blast, especially Jimmer. He wouldn't get out I was told. I like to experience folks, not the run of the mill folks who are rats on the tread mill (i.e. all the same) but different folks who experience life differently. They are soooo interesting to me. They seem to size up the world differently. They have no pretenses and are not conspicuous. They give me a great hello to life. I think experiences of things is fun but the experience of folks is really fun. For me--That's the long and short of it folks.

I went to a 2 hour seminar by
Teepasnow, a national speaker for caregivers of folks with dementia this
week (i.e. learned about confabulation and much more). I learned a lot again and relearned some more stuff. Some of it wasn’t much fun to learn such as--If I am going to make Arlene shine, I need to take care of myself (i.e. which
is very hard to do for most caregivers).
40% of caregivers die before the person they are giving care do. Holy flying monkeys! Here is something else I
learned that I didn’t know. The knocking
knocks of tot tota tot tot–tot tot came from the barber shop. Shave and a hair cut, two bits. I never knew that before. Did you guys? It seemed like most of the folks at the seminar did, but I didn’t. Holy flying monkeys! I wonder what else I don't know. Maybe I don't want to know some of the stuff! Could be! Such is life.
Have a FUN day my friends unless you have other plans. (-:
